Ground Under Every Other Ground
There is a question underneath all the other questions. It is this:
Who is God, and what does He want from me?
Every man answers this question, even the man who insists he does not believe in God. He answers it with his life. Every man has a god.
We believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The God who spoke the world into being, who came to earth in Jesus Christ, died for our sins, rose on the third day, and will return.
“ In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Genesis 1:1The Book That Changes Men
The Bible is not a collection of ancient fables. It is the living Word of God, and it is the only book in the world that can tell you who you actually are.
A man who does not read his Bible is a man who has decided to drive across the country with no map and no compass.
“ For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword...”
Hebrews 4:12“ The Bible is not a book of suggestions. It is a book of commands and promises, given by a God who intends both to be taken with the utmost seriousness.”
Dennis PragerThe God Who Sees You
The God of the universe is not distant. He is a Father, and He sees you. He sees you when you are faithful and no one applauds. He sees you when you fall. He sees you, and He has not forgotten you.
“ The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.”
Psalm 145:18
